Find Strengths & Build Resilience with CBT: A Four-Step Model (USA 2012)

BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON 1 day / 6 hour workshop
This workshop teaches Padesky & Mooney’s 4-step model for identifying, building and strengthening resilience. Their approach integrates knowledge from resilience research and constructive cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) methods. Participants learn to search for strengths within six main areas of competence characteristic of resilient individuals and help clients build a personal model of resilience (PMR™). This resilience model can be integrated within CBT or other therapy approaches.

8:30 – 10:15 am: HOW to build a personal model of resilience (PMR™)
10:15 – 10:30 am: Break
10:30 an – 12 noon: SEARCH for Strengths
Noon – 1:15 pm: Lunch
1:15 – 2:45 pm: APPLY the PMR™ to client problem area(s)
2:45 – 3:00 pm: Break

ACCREDITATION: Approved by the Washington State Psychological Association as meeting the criteria for 6 total hours of Psychologist Continuing Education Credits.
