Strengths-Based CBT in Depression: Demo & Practice (USA 2014)
December 12, 2014 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm PST
GARDEN GROVE, CALIFORNIA
WORKSHOP 12: Strengths-Based CBT in Depression: DEMONSTRATION & PRACTICE
PRESENTER: Christine A. Padesky, PhD / Center for Cognitive Therapy, Huntington Beach, California
DESCRIPTION: When people are depressed, they often deny having any strengths or positive areas of enjoyment in their life. This workshop demonstrates how to help depressed clients become more aware of their own strengths so these can be incorporated into CBT treatment. Participants are guided through exercises that help clients notice and capture small positive experiences, even when depressed.
Workshop 12 is offered at The Brief Therapy Conference, the only comprehensive multidisciplinary conference in the world.
